The Team

Sina Sadeghpour

Sina received a PhD in MEMS-technology from the  KULeuven.  During his postdoc he worked on MEMS for medical applications.  He also designs and fabricates highly efficient, low power, and flexible pMUTs and macro size ultrasound transducers for underwater applications. Sina is inventor of the LucidWave technology.

Michael Kraft

Michael leads the ESAT research division Micro- and Nano-systems and has more than 20 years of experience in the design, fabrication and characterization of a wide range of micro- and nanosystems and micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) sensors and devices. He is in charge of the Cleanroom and MEMS activities in the Leuven Nanocentre.

Bart van Duffel

Bart holds a PhD in bioengineering spec. surface chemistry and has 20+ years of experience in several R&D management roles. He invented, patented and marketed a glass printing technology. As an innovation manager, he supports 3 research groups working on micro -and nanosystems, thin films and membrane technology.

Rui Amendoeira Esteves

Rui holds a Master’s degree in Micro and Nanoengineering with a Master’s thesis project on “Python-based electro-mechanical optimization of MEMS inertial sensors”. His training and experience in micro sensors design and fabrication is complemented by his programming skills.
